 I gained real-world experience in handling clinical and technical systems across nearly every biomedical-relevant department. I actively participated in operations, maintenance, safety, and compliance across hospital units.

Key Responsibilities & Departmental Exposure:

• Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD)
  Operated and serviced autoclaves; set sterilization cycles (121°C & 134°C); conducted routine checks, water level verification, valve testing, and maintenance.
  
  

• Manifold & Medical Gas Supply Systems
  Replaced and monitored oxygen & medical air cylinders; switched banks; maintained pressure readings; supported safe gas supply practices.
  
  

• Operating Theatres
  Conducted pre-use inspections of anesthesia machines, patient monitors, and suction units; checked power supply, plug integrity, and sterilization status.
  
  

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  Supported monitoring of ventilators, syringe pumps, and multi-parameter monitors; ensured alarm functionality, calibration, and battery health.
  
  

• General Wards, Maternity & HDU
  Assisted in socket installations, electric bed rewiring, portable equipment tagging, and equipment repositioning.
  
  

• Dialysis Unit
  Observed the flushing and maintenance of hemodialysis machines and the water purification (RO) system.
  
  

• Radiology / Imaging (Observation Only)
  Learned about X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, and Mammography systems; understood biomedical support roles and safety precautions in radiology.

  Ensured readiness of suction units, defibrillators, and portable vital monitors; verified charging systems and equipment placement.

  Participated in fire safety inspections, LED exit light repairs, socket rewiring, and minor painting tasks.
